Raoul has over 30 years of experience in the maritime industry, serving on board a variety of merchant and cruise vessels and shoreside in Fleet Operations, I.T, design, strategic development and complex shipbuilding. Raoul has worked for Carnival Corporation in Miami, London, and more recently Genoa. From 2001 to 2005 Raoul was responsible for European IT Operations focusing on multi-brand system integration. In 2006 Raoul was appointed as Project Director for three ultra-luxury cruise vessels for Seabourn Cruise Line. Within this role, Raoul has been responsible for the successful introduction of a new class of vessels which has changed the expectations of the high-end cruise guest.
Since 2011, Raoul has served in the role of Managing Partner within PFJ Maritime, focusing on Asia-based projects within Passenger ship construction and operations.
Between 2018 and 2020, Raoul stepped aside from his consulting duties to work with Bureau Veritas as Regional General Manager, North Asia, and with Damen Shipyard Group as Vice President, Cruise Projects
Raoul’s recent academic work has been in the field of business strategy and international markets with a strong focus on the expansion of the luxury cruise segment.
Raoul received his MBA from Brunel University and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects.
